Named "Program of the Year" for several years by the Jacksonville Sports Hall of Fame, the Bishop Kenny High School athletic program offers a wide variety of varsity, junior varsity, freshman, and co-ed teams for maximum student involvement.

Bishop Kenny’s athletic program has enjoyed a fine reputation in Jacksonville and throughout the state for more than fifty years. Bishop Kenny Crusader athletes field teams in every sport sanctioned by the Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA).  Athletes train and compete at BK’s unparalleled facilities under the direction of the school’s professional coaching staff.  In 2004, 2006 and 2010 the athletic program was named the Program of the Year for Florida and has previously ranked in the top five programs for many years.

During the 2009-2010 school year over 859 student-athletes (74% of the student population) participated on one or more of the athletic teams.  There are plenty of opportunities for students to participate in athletic competition at Bishop Kenny High School.
